1966 Ford Mustang Fastback GT350

Wimbledon White · Guardsman Blue stripes · Carmel, California

The Story

I bought this car in 1978, two years out of high school, for eleven hundred dollars. Four years later I sold it for our wedding and honeymoon. Best trade I ever made — and I regretted it every single day for thirty-nine years.

In 2021 my son found a white GT350 fastback for sale outside Monterey and pulled the door tag on a hunch. Same car. The seller knocked off a thousand dollars when he heard the story — said the car was clearly going home. My wife rode shotgun on the drive back, same seat as 1982.
