1956 Porsche 356 A

Silver Metallic · Family owned since new · Traverse City, Michigan

The Story

My grandfather ordered this car in 1956 and picked it up at the factory. It has never been sold, never been restored, and never spent a night outside. The dent in the left rear fender is from my grandmother’s bicycle in 1963, and it’s staying.

I learned to drive in it. So did my daughter, last summer, in the same church parking lot.
