1976 Lancia Scorpion

Gobles, MI

The Story

I bought this Lancia Scorpion in 2021. It was a total basket case out of Chicago when I got it, but I’ve since driven it in the Round Headlight Rally three times.

It runs a 1.8-liter four-cylinder twin-cam engine with a Weber carburetor. Lancia only imported about 1,800 of these to the US, and there are probably only about 100 left on the road today. In Europe, they were called the Montecarlo and came with a 2.0-liter engine. I actually have another Scorpion at home in the garage, and I'm currently putting one of those 2.0-liter engines into that one.

Being mid-engined, this car is just a blast to drive.
