Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to Garage Chronicle, a registered assumed name of NAVE AND SONS LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“Garage Chronicle,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or publishing a car, you agree to these Terms. Please read them — they are written in plain language on purpose.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use Garage Chronicle and old enough to form a binding agreement where you live. You’re responsible for anything that happens under your account.
Your content and your rights
You keep ownership of the photos, stories, and information you publish (“Your Content”). By publishing, you confirm that you have the right to do so — that the photos are yours or that you have permission to use them — and that Your Content does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark, or privacy.
You grant Garage Chronicle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and share Your Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform (for example, showing your car in the registry and generating social preview images when you share a link). You can remove Your Content at any time by editing or deleting your car.
To run the registry and improve the service, you also permit us to use factual information about your vehicle (such as year, make, model, specifications, ownership dates, and history) and to create aggregate, statistical, or de-identified datasets and derived features from Your Content — for example, model overview pages, search, market and history insights, and vehicle records. These aggregate and de-identified uses are not tied to your public identity. You continue to own Your Content, and removing a car removes it from public display.
Do not upload photos you did not take or do not have permission to use, including magazine or dealer images or other people’s photographs. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us and we will review it.
The car’s record
Garage Chronicle is built around the vehicle. When a car changes hands, its history may continue on the platform under a new caretaker. If you delete your account or a car, we will remove your personal information, but a car’s anonymized history (such as ownership dates and milestones) may be retained as part of the vehicle’s record.
Provenance and accuracy
Garage Chronicle preserves and displays vehicle history as it is provided by caretakers. Except where a fact is explicitly marked as verified from a source, information on the platform — including stories, specifications, ownership dates, timelines, and any VIN-decoded factory data — is asserted by owners or supplied by third parties, and we do not independently authenticate it. We are not a title, appraisal, inspection, or vehicle authentication service, and nothing here should be relied upon as proof of a vehicle’s condition, ownership, title, mileage, or authenticity. Always verify important details yourself before relying on them.
Real cars, real photos
Garage Chronicle exists to preserve the true history of real vehicles, so authenticity is a condition of using it. Every car you publish must be a real vehicle, and every photo must be a genuine photograph of that car — one you took or have permission to use. You may use AI tools to help you write your car’s story in your own words, but images must be authentic: AI-generated, computer-rendered, or otherwise synthetic images are not permitted, and neither are photos of a different car presented as your own. Fabricating a vehicle, its history, or its documentation is a serious violation. We may flag, unpublish, or remove content and suspend accounts that misrepresent a car or its photos.
Buying, selling, and offers
Sale-status labels and offer inquiries are a convenience for connecting enthusiasts. Garage Chronicle is not a party to any sale, does not verify buyers or sellers, and does not handle payments. Any transaction is solely between the people involved — do your own due diligence.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the platform to post unlawful, misleading, harassing, or infringing content, to impersonate others, or to scrape or misuse the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep Garage Chronicle running well, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NAVE AND SONS LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the platform grows. If we make material changes, we’ll note the new date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you agree to that venue.
