The Story
The first thing I ever really learned to drive was an old Jeep Willys with no top. You could take that machine anywhere, and the combination of open-air freedom and go-anywhere capability rewired me at an early age. By high school, my parents were daring enough to let me have a 1973 CJ5 with a 304 V8 and a fiberglass body. It was fast and fun, and I have spent the rest of my life chasing that exact feeling.
I found this 2021 Bronco during COVID, when they were nearly impossible to get. After scouring local dealers and Facebook Marketplace, one finally turned up at Albion Motors, and I bought it brand new—something I never do. With three hundred horsepower, four doors, and independent front suspension, it has the drivability and safety the old Jeeps never had, wrapped in styling that remembers exactly where it came from. With the top off, it still goes anywhere, though it is only missing the V8 growl that my CJ had. Some things you just don't outgrow.
