The Story
Built with my dad, Tim Traylor. This Model A was a full-fendered unchopped original find. We put a 1953 rebuilt Caddy engine in it and a quick-change rear end. Chassis was done by Henry Richards from Steadfast. For the roof, we went with a flat steel panel instead of the traditional soft top and welded a bead around the edge. Adding the 32 cowl vent helps keep it cool along with the kickout windshield.
The dash is out of a 1953 Buick. I had to buy several different dashes just to get all the original gauges, and we had to narrow the whole thing quite a bit to make it fit inside the Ford.
Tim Traylor fabricated stainless steel headers and we’re running straight pipes that dump right before the rear wheels. She’s loud!
