1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe

The Story

Another kid in town named Jim Brockway owned this car. Everybody knew it as Brock’s coupe. In 1960, they opened up the Kellogg airport for us to race on, and that was the scene.

Eventually, the car disappeared for years. I ran into Jim's family much later, and they offered the car to me because they knew I would take care of it. I spent five years working on it, building it to be a driver. It is all steel. Because it has suicide doors, I added pins to make sure they stay closed when I'm on the road.

I also put a few nods to my racing days into the build. The steering column is mounted with a top-fuel connecting rod, and I used top-fuel rods to mount the exhaust pipes, too.
