The Story

I bought this car about five or six years ago because I wanted to replicate the one I had when I was 19 years old. That original car was really important to me—it was actually the car I was driving when I met my wife.

I found this one near Flint. It started out as a six-cylinder with a three-speed manual transmission, but I spent four to five years restoring it to get it exactly how I wanted. I found a 283-cubic-inch fuel-injected engine for it out near Washington, D.C., and I paired it with a four-speed.

It took a lot of work to put it all together, but now it is exactly the car I wanted to build.
