The Story
Don't let the badges fool you - there's a built 489 Big Block under the hood.
It started as a barn find. I wanted to keep the body as close to stock as I could. The one place I let loose was the paint — a custom color and custom stripes, drawn up by the paint and body man. I left that to the professionals.
Underneath is a different story. I updated just about everything for a better ride: a full Pro Touring sport suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, a 4:10 12-bolt posi rear end, a quick-ratio steering box, and a Tremec six-speed behind a built 489. A complete Flowmaster exhaust to let it breathe. I did most of the install myself — my brothers-in-law helped me wrestle the heavy stuff.
It looks like a '69 should and drives even better than it should.
