1977 Jeep Cherokee Chief

The Story

I’ve had this Jeep for at least ten years now, and I built the whole thing right in my garage. It’s a Cherokee Chief, which means it has wider axles than the Wagoneer. I chose the orange paint to get a really good contrast with the black stripes. My buddy helped me with the paint, and I ended up modifying the stripe so it doesn't wrap all the way around. He also restored the Chief badges for me.

Underneath, I put in a 2018 5.3-liter engine with a 6L80 transmission and a Dana 300 transfer case. The goal for this build is to take it out on Route 66 and then head out to Moab.
