The Story
I’ve always liked woody cars, and we’ve had this one for about a year now. It was built about 18 years ago by Cecil Taylor from the Hercules Motorcar Company. Cecil’s theory was to build a steel frame first and then build the wood around that frame. This one was built with maple and cherry, and it has a nine-inch rear end.
Before we got it, the car sat in a barn for several years. We had to do quite a bit of work to get it road-ready again.
